Why Your VIN Matters
Year, make, and model tell us a lot — but not everything. Trim level, engine size, and even the specific month your vehicle was built can all affect which part actually fits. Two seemingly identical vehicles off the same lot can need two different alternators, brake pads, or filters. Your VIN accounts for all of that, which is why we ask for it whenever we can — it lets us confirm the exact right part before you make a trip, instead of guessing off year/make/model alone.
How to Find Your VIN
Your VIN is usually easiest to find on a small plate at the base of your windshield on the driver's side, visible from outside the car. It's also on your driver's-side door jamb, your title, and your registration or insurance card.
